No motor burn out from built up heat because the 16 pole motors have fiberglass insulation and silicon steel laminations. Heavy duty UL approved switches give constant speed and action through entire operation and warranty. In the warm months of summer, switch your fan to turn counter-clockwise in order to make your room feel up to 7-degrees cooler. In the cooler months of winter, you can switch your fan to turn clockwise in order to recirculate the hot air that has been trapped near the ceiling.
